XXL Awards
This was done over a fairly long evening for the XXL Awards Dinner. As a first cut I think it goes far to long and could use with less of the waves that may feature in the night.

Kid Kenobi
The lead dancer and choreographer at Discovery Nightclub in Darwin, NOrthern Territory, contacted me and asked if could film her and her dancing team. I did a couple of practice sessions while they were putting together a new dance, Bootylicious, and also filmed them on this night. The backing track, Around the World by Daft Punk, is not the song that any of the girls were dancing to, however the music seemed to fit in well with the girls movement. The title of this clip comes from the DJ that was playing on this particular night.
28 Days - Plastic F$ck
This was shot on a relatively lazy but drunken sunday afternoon at the Cavenagh Hotel in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. The day before was Bass in the Grass, a gradually growing music festival for the top end, and the 28 Days had played a great set. While sitting around enjoying a typical Sunday full breakfast and LOTS of coffee I heard a whisper that the 28 Days were playing there later in the afternoon. After a quick chat with the Cav Manager and 28 Days I rushed home to get the XL1S and set up on the balcony. Unfortunately I had to reuse one of my tapes, which unfortunately got dirty at some point and I lost about 45 minutes of sound.

Margaret River Classic 2006
While in Margaret River in 2006 for a friends wedding I was lucky enough to catch the Margaret River Classic at the same time. I had purchased general passes for 5 of us to attend, but that didn't get you in to any of the specialised areas. Luckily the Canon XL1S stands out in the crowed a bit a pretty soon I was being ushered into the media areas to make sure I got a better shot, and had access to the surfers for interviews.
O'Neill Marketing Clip
Steve Peters from O'Neill wetsuits needed to push the use of wetsuits in the winter conditions. I had done some filming with Duncan Scott, O'Neill pro surfer, over the past few months and was able to put this piece together between 12.30 - 3.30am
